Spiti in Summer

After traveling for more than 1500 km and managing to complete the entire loop from Shimla to Kaza to Manali and back home, the pull-push and stretch of it all finally made it totally worth it. From getting jostled around like rag dolls in a bus, to riding at the back of tempo with steel bars reinforcing our palms , to the tractor that shook our intestines out; the journey to get to where we went was part of the adventure we embarked on and is ultimately a hilarious memory of yet another successful trip to a place I finally can say I went to. The seabuckthorn tea's, howling winds, rolling clouds that never let us shoot those incredible blue backdrops, traditional meals that were just too heavy to fathom in one go, ancient gompas and record-breaking places were all part of my week-long trip to the great Spiti Valley. Being one of the first to cross over Kumzumla in a shared taxi was an added bonus to a trip that was shot on an LG V20 and Nikon D750 with a 24-70 f/2.8 lens.
