Hi! My name is Akshay Raj Chatterji. My passion for travelling and photography over the years is what culminated into creating this website, so as to let people know what lies beyond the four walls of their concrete jungles. 

Growing up in a military family, I had the privilege of travelling and visiting many exotic spots in India and thus began my hunger to explore the country and make memories that would last a lifetime. Travelling allowed me to break free from just being a middle-class suburban kid to experiencing other cultures, taste various other cuisines and get lost in a world far away from the comfort of one’s home.

All I wanted to do was travel, see more of the world, and learn more about the people in it. But the reality of it all was that I still had a job to go back to and like most working folks I only had two weeks of vacation per year. So planning ahead, saving up, packing the right gear and then letting go upon reaching the destination made the trips so much more worthwhile than just being another holiday.

Over the years I've had the honour of working with some great photographers on some amazing adventure’s and have learned to not just shoot what it appears to be but shoot what it feels like at that moment.
